刘健，1954年生于安徽合肥。现为中国美术家协会理事，中国国家画院院委、国画院研究员。曾任中国美术学院副院长，中国美术家协会秘书长，浙江省美术家协会副主席等职。1982年毕业于浙江美术学院（现中国美术学院）中国画系人物画专业，获学士学位并留校任教。

Liu Jian was born in 1954 in Hefei, Anhui Province. He is a council member of the China Artists Association and an Academy Committee member and a research fellow of China National Academy of Painting. He was vice president of China Academy of Art, secretary-general of China Artists Association, and vice chair of Zhejiang Artists Association. In 1982, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in figure painting from the Department of Chinese Painting of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts (now China Academy of Art) and stayed there as a teacher.
